The third meeting of the Archaeology Reporting Workshop for Journalists took place on Thursday, July 25 at TGS Academy, with the participation of journalists from Istanbul.
Many journalists from print and audiovisual media outlets across the country attended the workshop organized in collaboration with TGS Academy.
The first session of the workshop focused on correct approaches to archaeological news coverage, while in the second session, Yiğit Özar, Head of the Istanbul Branch of the Association of Archaeologists, delivered a presentation. In his lecture, Özar provided in-depth information as to the protection of the archaeological heritage in and around Istanbul, and the archaeological news published in the media over the years.
